I was born and raised in Green Bay Wisconsin, and went to art school in Milwaukee Wisconsin. I've always drawn comics, and have always been searching for ways to put them out... contributing to school papers, making school papers when the school didn't have one, and making my own mini comics. I went to school for a short period of time in New York city, and eventually moved to amazing and beautiful Portland Oregon. There I met my true love (who happens to be a dog) Beluga, and wrote my first book titled Spiral-Bound for Top Shelf Productions.
I've recently moved back to Brooklyn, New York and started working on my next big book titled the Unsinkable Walker Bean. It should be good... but then again... I'm a little biased.
I am the recipient of the Will Eisner Comic Industry Award for Talent Deserving Wider Recognition, and a nomination for best Children's Album in 2005.
